Wiza Jalakasi has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Wiza began their career in 2009 as the Founder & CEO of MwTunes, Malawi's first-ever music download site targeting mobile devices. Wiza then co-founded Djuaji in 2014, where they served as the COO. Starting in 2016, Wiza worked at Africa's Talking, initially as the Business Development Lead and later as the International Expansion Lead. During this time, they played a key role in scaling powerful API services across multiple African countries and securing significant investments. In 2019, Wiza joined Hover Developer Services, Inc. as the Head of Global BD & Strategy, where they led efforts to reimagine mobile network operator services and secure partnerships with telco and bank partners. Most recently, they served as the VP of Global Merchant Business at Chipper Cash, where they led the development of a merchant-facing API and spearheaded strategic initiatives such as acquisitions and regulatory engagement. Currently, Wiza holds the position of Director, Africa Market Development at EBANX.


Wiza Jalakasi attended United States International University - Africa, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Information Systems Technology (Hons.). No specific start and end years were provided for their education.
