Tim Nguyen

Tim Nguyen is the current General Counsel at Very Good Security. Tim has over 10 years of experience in the legal field, with a focus on compliance and risk management.

Nguyen started their career as an Independent Consultant, working with Tilt.com to review processor and referral agreements, assist in establishing and maintaining bank and processor relationships, and draft US Anti-Money Laundering and compliance policies. Tim then spent 4 years as the General Counsel at Balanced, where they managed banking and processor relationships, oversaw regulatory strategy and communications, created and enforced company compliance and risk policies, increased transaction volume by over 20%, and negotiated deals with key customers.

Nguyen has a strong background in payments, fraud prevention, and Anti-Money Laundering compliance. Tim is an expert in PCI security procedures and has extensive experience working with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulations. Nguyen is a strategic thinker who is able to identify risks and develop solutions that mitigate those risks. Tim is a trusted advisor to the executive team and board of directors, and is an integral part of the team that keeps Very Good Security running smoothly.
