Nate Favini

Chief Medical Officer at Forward

Nate Favini is the current Chief Medical Officer at Forward. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Primary Care at CareMore Health Plan, Attending Physician and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar at UCLA, and Physician in Primary Care/Social Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center. Nate has also worked with the US Department of Health & Human Services and Peace Corps Mozambique.


Nate Favini graduated from Stanford University with a degree in human biology. Nate then attended the Keck School of Medicine of USC where they earned their medical degree. Nate completed their residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in New York.


During their time with the Peace Corps, Nate worked as a volunteer in Mozambique where they provided health education and worked on HIV/AIDS prevention. Nate also worked with the US Department of Health & Human Services during the early days of the Affordable Care Act, helping to develop health information technology policy.


Nate is a strong advocate for primary care and preventative medicine. Nate believes that by keeping people healthy, we can ultimately reduce healthcare costs. In their role as Chief Medical Officer at Forward, Nate is working to redefine what it means to be a primary care doctor and make high-quality primary care more accessible and affordable for everyone.


Nate Favini received their B.A. in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from Haverford College. Nate then attended Harvard Medical School and received their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.). After completing their medical degree, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Health Policy and Management with a concentration in Implementation Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. Nate Favini is also certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM) in Board Certification in Clinical Informatics and the American Board of Internal Medicine in Board Certification in Internal Medicine. In addition, they have a certification from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Global Health Leadership.


Their manager is Adrian Aoun, CEO & Founder. They work with Sheela K. - Head of People, Robert Sebastian - Co-Founder, and Jonathan Lesser - Head of Operations.
