Grace French has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. Grace began their career as an intern at MindLeaps, where they taught street children in Rwanda basic IT skills and dance movement. Grace then worked as an Assistant Community Manager at the American Cancer Society.
Grace later joined the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, where they served as a Research Assistant, assisting in organizational psychology experiments and data analysis. Grace also worked as a Teacher's Assistant in an MBA negotiations class, facilitating communication between students and the professor.
Grace then transitioned to Shinola, where they initially worked as an intern and conducted research and data analysis on target markets. Grace later became a Marketing Coordinator, leading a team to execute digital marketing campaigns, create email marketing campaigns, and develop go-to-market strategies for new products.
After their time at Shinola, Grace worked at Homepoint, starting as the Director of Brand Development and overseeing the marketing and language of multiple products. Grace then became the Director of Customer Marketing, managing customer feedback loops, integrating survey software, and driving lead generation and strategic marketing communications.
In addition to their professional experience, Grace has been self-employed as a Dance Coach and Dance Teacher since 2011, working in multiple studios and with various age groups. Grace teaches a range of dance styles and aims to inspire a love of dance in youth.
More recently, Grace founded and served as the President of The Army of Survivors, leading a team of 40 survivors of sexual violence and achieving significant increases in contributions and fundraising efficiency.
Overall, Grace has demonstrated expertise in marketing, customer experience, research, teaching, and youth education. Grace is known for their leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills.
Grace French attended the University of Michigan from 2013 to 2018, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. Grace has also obtained several additional certifications, including the ABT® Certified Teacher: Pre-Primary through Level 3 from the American Ballet Theatre in August 2022. In the same month, they also received the Module 1 Teaching Certification from Alixa Flexibility. In February 2022, Grace obtained the Courageous Individual certification from the Dance Education Equity Association, as well as the Steward of Children certification from Darkness to Light. Grace obtained the Mental Health First Aid Certification from Mental Health First Aid in February 2020 and the Officiating Certification from NAIA in January 2022.
